Fantastic Quality, Great Packaging, Fun Ride, July 9, 2012 This review is from: Retrospec Beta Fixie Single Speed Fixed Gear Bicycle with Flip Flop Hub (Sports) I love my new "Ghandi" (Black and Gold) from Retrospec. First of all, it arrived in perfect condition. The box is so sturdy it may have to be kept in my apartment as furniture. Inside the box the bike was packaged so carefully I couldn't believe it. Put it this way, my $6000 Carbon roadie wasn't even packaged this well. The bike came with the rear wheel assembled on the frame on the fixed-gear side, which is fine because that is the way I intend to ride it. The gold wheels that came were 43mm and very aerodynamic in shape. I tested them on my truing wheel and they spun true. The frame alignment was perfect and the geometry is very comfortable. The seat is pretty comfortable, and the grips are really comfortable and the gold handle-bars look amazing. As an avid cyclist I got this thing just for fun, but I'm blown away by the quality. Flip flop hub is a nice feature for those of you who don't want to ride fixed. My 57cm is true to size. I recommend Retrospec wholeheartedly to anyone who... Read more
